by Chef Liz , Santosha Nutrition
This cocktail combines the smoky allure of a smoked cocktail with the sweet-tart flavors of fresh blackberries and lemon, making it a perfect choice for a sophisticated evening at your restaurant lounge or for impressing your guests at an event. Cheers!
Yield: 3
- 1/2 Cup Fresh Blackberries
- 2 oz Hendricks Gin
- 1 oz Chambord
- 1 oz Maple Syrup
- 1.5 oz Lemon Juice
- Ginger Beer
- Food Grade Dry Ice (optional)
Add all ingredients to a large cocktail shaker except ginger beer. Muddle blackberries until smashed. Strain through a fine mesh strainer to remove seeds. In three martini or rocks glasses and using tongs, add one cube of food grade dry ice (or regular ice) and pour 1/3 of the cocktail mixture into each glass. Add a dash of ginger beer leaving at least 1 inch from the top of the glass and watch the mixture smoke. Enjoy the cocktail once the dry ice has COMPLETELY melted; disregard if using regular ice.
DRY ICE DISCLAIMER
Dry ice is safe to use in cocktails but use tongs to touch the cubes and wait until it is completely dissolved to enjoy the beverage. Dry ice should not touch skin directly or be consumed until melted.
